Brogan Cole Sehl

My name is Jodi Larratt, and I am reaching out today to seek support for a family who have experienced the most devastating loss any family could ever endure. Brian Sehl is our neighbor, friend and fellow arm wrestling family member, as are his two boys Lucas and Brogan, who have been arm wrestling in our club since they were very little. Our daughter Habree is in Brogan's grade and the two have been friends for as long as I can remember.

On Sunday, at an extended family dinner, Brogan fell ill with a chest cold, which turned into Pneumonia, leading to a completely unexpected infection that his little body simply could not fight off. Brogan died suddenly in hospital two days later (unrelated to COVID).

Anyone gifted with knowing Brogan will tell you he was the sweetest child ever to walk this earth. He never had an unkind word for anyone and was always the first to try to make people who were down feel better. Brogan was the happiest and most loving boy, who sang and danced and spread absolute joy through the souls of those who were graced by his presence. He started every day with a "Good morning! Today's going to be a great day!" and maintained that approach all throughout his day, no matter what was held in store for him. Brogan was Autistic and faced his challenges with the most positive of attitudes. His spirit truly lit up the world of those around him. Brogan celebrated his 14th birthday the day before he became ill. His loss is being felt by so many. His parents, Bryan and Natasha, his little brother, Lucas, his Grandparents, Aunt, Uncle and cousins are all devastated, as are his friends, teachers, administrators, and so many, many more people whose lives were deeply touched, in such a short window of time, by sweet Brogan.

I'm looking to raise money to help cover the costs of the funeral expenses and to hopefully give Brogan's parents the ability to take time to process and heal with their son Lucas. For obvious reasons, they were not financially prepared for this sudden and unexpected expense...no one should have to be. Please help me to reduce a small amount of the stressors these parents have to face and consider donating what you can. Thank you all.
