On April 11th early Sunday morning Brody was airlifted from the scene to the hospital. He has 2nd degree burns on his face and 3rd degree burns on the front side of his body. He is currently at HCMC. He is intubated, on a ventilator, and has a feeding tube. The incredible doctors and nurses are closely monitoring his blood pressure and oxygen levels around the clock. Unfortunately, everything changes by the hour. In the future will need many skin grafts. He will need all the love and support and healing thoughts that you can send. Brody is a strong boy and full of life and has a spirit about him that is unmatched. He will be unable to work for months. Whatever you can give, no matter how small, will so so so much appreciated. Thank you so much for the donations thus far. Brody has officially been in the burn unit for going on 7 weeks. We thought by now he would be home recuperating. He struggles everyday and some good days but alot of bad days. Everyone is grateful that he is no longer intubated and can breathe on his own.
I set this GoFundMe page up to help Brody with his bills as he cannot work and unfortunately the monthly bills do not stop.
I have known Brody since he was a little boy. I knew him and his brother before I got to be great friends with his mother, Tamar. Brody used to come over whenever I was outside and was always wanting to help me. He was such a nice boy and now has grown to be an awesome man with great work ethnics. He is such a hard worker.
Tamar has set up a account for Brody to help pay his bills and the plan is to transfer this donation to that account. Brody has many months of recovery coming up. Like I mentioned, we thought he would be home by now. He has many skin grafts to come.
Again thank you thank you for all of the donations thus far and hopefully more will come to help him. He is such a wonderful man and a great friend to those that know him.
