Brody's Emergency Surgery Fund

When we were moving into our new home, we thought it was going to be a happy start for our family: a backyard for Brody and my son Noah to play in and a new home to fill with memories.
Unfortunately, while we were moving in, Brody ran out of the house and into the road. He was hit by a Jeep.
I heard commotion outside and when I ran out I saw Brody lying unconscious. The worst thoughts filled our minds. Four year old Noah saw the aftermath and immediately burst into tears.
My father picked him up off the pavement and rushed to the emergency vet hospital while I stayed with Noah and prayed. Our prayers were heard because after 3 days of evaluation it turned out that Brody's jaw was the only thing that was injured in the accident.
Fortunately, he just got out of surgery today and he is even able to eat (no feeding tube needed)! We feel blessed that he's alive; Noah always tells me how Brody is his best friend. He is my first baby and part of our family.
We now find ourselves with not only the financial strain of owning a new home, but also with the struggle of providing the proper care for Brody. He needed to see a special oral surgeon and the bills are piling up.
We thought we would be preparing for the holidays and enjoying our new home, but life is not perfect. Thank God, with the help of our friends, family and good veterinarians, we know Brody and Noah will soon be playing happily in our new backyard. Thank you, all, for your love and support during this difficult time.
