A couple nights ago, in the early hours of the morning, Brody and Zully woke to blaring smoke alarms and had just minutes to scoop up their three sleeping little ones (ages 6, 4, and 2) and get everyone out safely. Fire crews fought hard, but the house and everything inside was lost. Thankfully, no one was hurt physically—the family is safe now, staying with Grandma and Grandpa while they regroup—but the emotional shake-up has been real. And to add to the mix, Zully is pregnant with their fourth child, due late summer/early fall!

Brody and Zully are the kind of people who light up every room they enter. They’ve always been the ones offering smiles, help, and joy to everyone around them, and now their incredible community is stepping up in the same spirit. Friends, family, and neighbors have already showered them with love, donations, and essentials in the very first days after the fire—what a beautiful reminder of how much this family is cherished!

They’re brave, resilient, and focused on moving forward. The kids are handling it like little champs—taking it in stride while asking the sweetest, most curious questions that remind us all how strong young hearts can be. With the fire investigation ongoing, the priority is replacing the absolute necessities to start fresh: clothing for the whole family (including growing baby bump needs!), furniture, kitchen supplies, baby gear, children’s toys and books, basic electronics, pantry staples, toiletries, and everyday sundries. Literally everything was destroyed, so they’re rebuilding from the ground up.

In a few months, once important documents are sorted and they’ve had time to breathe, they’ll start looking for a new place to rent and call home. Our goal is to raise $40,000 to give them a solid foundation—help cover first/last month’s rent, security deposit, furnishings, and all those little (but big!) things that make a house feel like home again.

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference and is so deeply appreciated. But even if you can’t give right now, sharing this page far and wide would mean the world—spreading the word is one of the biggest ways to help this sweet family get back on their feet.
