I come to you today with a heavy heart. My dearest friend and 30+ year sidekick, Brodie Bruner, has passed away due to complications from heart surgery. He passed peacefully with a smile on his face surrounded by family and close friends. The arrangements will be forthcoming.

Today, my reason for making this announcement is to honor my friend. He is truly one of the two finest men I’ve ever known, in the same company as my father. His loyalty, brilliance, and contribution will be forever remembered and honored.

Due to the age gap of 12 years between us, we would often laugh and debate if I was more of a father figure or an older brother. The truth is, he was the more mature of the two of us and those roles were often reversed.

Brodie impacted countless lives and was a key pillar of our industry. I joke that he was the longest-serving intern ever, joining Weathermatic over 30 years ago as a senior in college and never leaving, proceeding to hold numerous roles and leadership positions across the company.

My heart feels as if it has cracked, and I am sick. What a friend, partner, and leader.

Brodie, you will be missed beyond words, and I truly loved you, my friend!
