First off, I would like to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers and words of encouragement I have received through this moment of adversity, but as you know with an injury like mine, it does not come without its challenges. I have never been a fan of using GoFundMe unless it is absolutely needed and I understand that people truly need the help at times. My pride has caused me to continuously put this off up until now, but I am at a point where I need to act. Most pro wrestling companies do not offer health benefits and (unlike the NFL/NBA) most talents do not collect a check while they are on the couch.
Because of my torn labrum (shoulder), I have not been able to wrestle for nearly three months now and have not been able to perform my normal work duties from an employment standpoint. As of right now, my doctor believes it could take 6-8 months before I am 100% ready to go and get back in the ring, as well as perform normal labor. Obviously, this is going to interfere with income, at least for the next few weeks until I can be somewhat functional and find new ways to earn.
I do have insurance, but it only covers a portion of the costs. Between the surgery, anesthesia, and physical therapy, its going to be quite the financial challenge, but one that I know I will overcome. I absolutely hate having to ask for assistance, but I am at a place of temporary desperation. I am not seeking a hand out and I am not a charity case, so I would like to give those who donate $15 or above a gift in return. I am not expecting anybody to feel obligated to help me out, but any little amount will help. I wanted to make sure that those who donate $15 or more receive something from me as an expression of my gratitude.
