Britt's Recovery - Let's help our cherished friend rebuild!

We’ve created this GoFundMe to support our friend and fellow animal rescuer, Britt, during a very challenging time.

Just six weeks ago, Britt was feeling great and rescuing every dog she could. Then, out of nowhere, her world was turned upside down by COVID, which turned into long COVID (over 3wks of testing positive). Since then, she’s had three emergency room visits, CT scans, extensive bloodwork, invasive medical procedures, a dozen medications, and countless appointments with specialists, including a pulmonologist and a urologist. Despite these efforts, her journey is far from over—she’s now waiting for an appointment with a rheumatologist (the earliest available date is February for uninsured patients) and dealing with new, complex symptoms in the meantime.

Unfortunately, the medical bills are piling up. Britt recently started a new job in orthopedics but hadn’t worked long enough to qualify for health insurance before all of this began. While she has an amazing support system and partner, the out-of-pocket costs of seeing multiple specialists without insurance have become overwhelming.

For those who know Britt, you know she’d never ask for help—she’d much rather see donations go toward saving animals. But right now, Britt needs *our* support to get through this difficult time.
