2023 has been a tragic year for our family to say the least. We just lost our mother in September and now we were delivered shocking unexpected news. Britt went to the dr Tuesday 12/5/23 for what she thought was the flu and back pain. They told her she had a severe UTI and blood in her urine and needed to go to the ER right away to check for kidney stones or she could go septic. During the CT scan of her kidneys they discovered several spots in her spine in her lower back that caused a compact fracture. They transferred her by ambulance immediately to a bigger hospital in St Louis 2 hours away! Upon arrival they conducted another CT and found another fracture in her neck. On Friday 12/8/23 they went through her throat to remove the soft bone in her neck and place rods to stabilize. They did the same in her lower back.

Upon further testing and biopsies it was determined that she has Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer that has spread to her bones and several spots in her abdomen. She has started radiation and has had her chemo port put in. She starts chemo in the coming weeks. She will live with this for the rest of her life and have to do chemo throughout as well. She is only 32 with 2 daughters. Raelynn is 8 and Kendell is 4. Britt has a long road ahead and will be spending alot of time in the hospital especially in the coming weeks and now will have no source of income. She lives alone in her own house with her 2 girls. Without income she is going to lose her house and basically have no where to go. She is in a different state far from her family. Every little bit helps to take some of the outside stress away so she can focus on fighting her battle and healing. I will keep everyone updated as news comes in. Thank yall!
