Britt Duff's Road to Recovery

Britt Duff is one of the strongest and most courageous people I know. Over the last year, I have seen such a large support for her road to recovery via social media - and the time has come for all of us who love her to give back. 

Britt is a talented theatre artist. She's performed with the Folger in DC. She's performed at the Kennedy Center. She is a wonderful singer and ukulele player and song writer. Her smile is infectious and her laughter is abundant no matter what. Her artwork? Aboslutely stunning. She has had a profound impact on a large part of the 495 DC Metro community. 

Over the last year, Britt has put all of that on hold to begin a long process of healing from a variety of mental health things. Without giving too much personal details, she has been to numerous top-of-the-line mental health facilities all across the country over the last year to receive help for Trauma/PTSD and all of the related depression etc that comes with those things. 

We have reached the final leg of the battle. Britt is currently in St. Louis seeking treatment at Castlewood Treatment Center. Unfortunately though, the funds for her boarding have run out. Insurance does not help to cover this extra cost. 

Britt deserves her full recovery after such a long battle. She deserves the stability of a full treatment in order for her to pursue her dreams: going back to school. Getting back into theater. 

Britt is looking to spend a full month at Castlewood. I have set a goal of $2500 to help with boarding costs, treatment costs not covered by insurance, as well as travel and medical expenses. With this money, we can guarantee Britt a sound state of mind that she can recieve the necessary treatment for her to continue with her life. She is a warrior who needs a little bit of help from some friends.
