Brittany Peters Recovery Fund

Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you that on Sunday, April 29, 2018, our Beloved Brittany Peters suffered a major stroke. The stroke was brought on by a Myxoma (benign tumor) in her heart. To complicate issues the one inch diameter tumor is compromising the mitro valve and will unfortunately require open heart surgery to be removed. Sadly, until she rehabs some, and the risk of a brain bleed subsides, she can not undergo the surgery. This means that she is still at risk of a heart attack or possibly another stroke until the surgery can be performed. She is being closely monitored and taking medications to help prevent those things from happening.

I know this may come as a shock to many of you who had not been informed, and I hope you understand that we were busy tending to her immediate needs and waiting to see how she would pull through. So far she has pulled through miraculously. The clot had blocked blood on both sides of her brain, but mostly her left frontal lobe; and she was initially left with no speech and paralysis on her right side. After reviewing the post procedure, the MRI Doctors told us it was amazing that there was less damage than anticipated, and with a lot of time and hard work she could possibly make a full recovery. However, they told us not to expect results for awhile. Well, within a couple days, Brittany started saying a few words, and her recovery since then has been described as remarkable. We are very optimistic that with hard work and tenacity she will make a full recovery, but we are also realistic that she is possibly facing 6 months to a year of rehab in order to get back to work. If you know Brittany, than you know how much she values what she does for a living and how much a part of her life it is. For those of you that don’t know her as well, she is the proud mother of a 9 year old daughter and a 5 year old son. She has worked persistently to become a flourishing hairstylist at be. Salon. Touching many lives with her nurturing personality, her infectious smile and her fun facts. Being the perfectionist she is, she won’t stop until she is standing behind a chair again poised to do some hair.

We won’t stop until we can raise enough funds to sustain her long enough to get through the open heart surgery and receive the necessary rehab to recover from the effects of the stroke. We also won’t stop until her goal of returning to work is accomplished.

We ask that you please donate to this fund so she can focus on getting better and spending time with her 2 beautiful children. She has brightened our world with her beautiful smile. Help brighten her world with your prayers and support.

In gratitude,
Her Aunt Holly and all her family.
