Brittany Midwinter’s Recovery

On Friday May 12, Brittany was driving to work when she was as involved in a multi vehicle accident on highway 14 due to zero visibility from a nearby wild fire. Brittany suffered a traumatic brain injury, and although her scans look promising and the doctors remain optimistic of her recovery, she has yet to awaken since her accident. She is truly a warrior and is showing amazing progress daily.

Due to her current condition, the family is kindly requesting no visitors at this time.

Our hope was that her accident was going to be covered by WCB, however that doesn’t seem to be the case. Unfortunately Brittany husband was involved in an awful workplace accident 2 years ago, which drained Brittany sick bank. Her husband will be applying for disability but I am hoping to help gather some funds to help get them through this impossible time.

Brittany is married to the love of her life, Mike, and they have two small kids, Owen (4) and Emma (2). They are being well cared for, and I will be reaching out for help organizing meals/assistance for them once they are needed.

May 18:

Britt is now moving about in her bed, opening her eyes and happily flipping off her Dad. She is still very drowsy and not chatting our ear off quite yet, but we are all confident she will be soon. She is still up against a long recovery but her progress has been outstanding. Her family is beyond grateful for all the love, support and donations that have been flooding in. I will reach out when they are comfortable allowing visitors! Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart for all the love that has been shown and his week ♥️
