I am organizing this fundraiser for my sister, Brittany. She underwent a kidney transplant over 5 weeks ago and was expected to be sent home 4 days later. However, she has had multiple complications, which began within days of her initial surgery and has been in ICU ever since. She has undergone several additional procedures and 2 additional surgeries to address the complications. Unfortunately, she has not progressed as hoped and remains in serious condition requiring ongoing care in the ICU.

She had been working part-time while on dialysis prior to her transplant, making just enough money to cover basic bills. Since 2 weeks before her transplant, the first week of August, she hasn't worked at all. In addition to these fixed bills, she requires financial assistance to cover her ongoing medical care.

My sister has worked for years as an EMT first responder, showing up for others in their most dire time of need. I am hoping we can show up for her now. Our family would be so grateful for your help.
