Brittany's Bone Tumor Surgery
As some people know, I found out at the beginning of summer that I have a bone tumor in my upper right jaw. They did a biopsy on it, and thankfully it is benign. But, I do have to have an 8 hour long surgery to remove the tumor through my mouth. That being said, they will have to do reconstructive surgery after they remove the tumor. They will be doing a bone and skin graft, taking from my leg. Since they are going through my mouth, they will have to take all of my teeth. They will not be able to reconstruct my gums, so I won't be able to have regular dentures that would be covered by my insurance. I will have to have special dentures that connect to implanted posts. The oral surgeon estimated that each post will cost around $2,380. They need to place 4 posts. That is a total of just under $10,000 for the posts to be implanted. I have to pay upfront for the posts before my surgery date. I also have to pay out of pocket for the special dentures once I heal but that will be at a later date. It would be much appreciated if anyone is willing to help lessen the financial burden on me. If you cannot help but you're willing to pray for me, that is appreciated as well.
