Britta is my niece, she's 19. Her parents are my brother, Brian, and his wife, Lori. All three of them would give you the shirt off their back if you needed it. Britta's in her first year of online college courses and was doing very well. Unfortunately, that's been put on hold though. Due to a genetic issue she was born with, Britta has dealt with a good many on-going medical problems, including Lupus. She's handled them all without many complaints or losing her positive attitude. Britta has just been dealt her biggest challenge ever though, she's been diagnosed with leukemia and is currently getting chemotherapy at a city hospital, and is also fighting pneumonia. I'm trying to raise funds to help with all the additional expenses involved in having a sick child. Brian, Lori, and Britta live in Burgettstown, so that's about a 40 minute ride back and forth, without traffic. Also Lori, of course, can't leave Britta's side, so she's not working very much and with no vacation time to use, she's not getting paid. My brother, Brian, is also down to his last few vacation days and will then be taking time off without pay. The best case scenario is that Britta will be hospitalized for 30 days. Every little bit will count to help Brian and Lori avoid a financial hardship on top of dealing with a seriously ill daughter.
