Everyone Deserves to See!!  Lets Help Britny See

Britny Belskis, Ân amazing young lady, has a positive outlook toward life .  Legally blind at birth, Britny has gone through many struggles.

With a loving family and support from friends she has coped with her disability. At age 27,  Britny graduated from Polk State College with an Associate in Science degree, she is currently enrolled at South Eastern University working towards a degree in Youth Ministry.  Her goal in life is to help children and to grow in Gods' love.

Give her a mountain and she will climb it!

Myopia, is a condition where the images come into focus in front of the eye, resulting in a blurred image on the retina. The more severe the nearsightedness, the farther the image is from the retina, which resulting in more blurry vision in the distance.

Her disability, degenerative myopia, the eyeball elongates rapidly and causes severe myopia, usually by the teenage or early adult years. Degenerative myopia may also progress far into the adult years. People with this condition have a significantly increased risk of retinal detachment and other degenerative changes in the back of the eye, including choroid neovascularization (abnormal blood vessel growth), and glaucoma.

Degenerative Myopia is a rare condition, the seventh leading cause of legal blindness occurring in 2% of the US. This form is more severe than other forms of myopia and is associated with retina changes, potentially causing severe vision loss.

Britny's eye specialist, recommends a new revolutionary technological breakthrough, Electronic glasses that let the legally blind see.

eSight is a  "Unique wearable medical device that enhances the functional vision of a person who has low vision or is legally blind."

Britny with a vision of 20/400, using the eSight glasses could actually see 20/20. Utilization of these glasses enable independence and the ability to engage in virtually all activities of daily living.

She has to utilize large bulky equipment like a cctv to be able to assist her in classes and homework.  Using eSight, a hands free device, she would be able to read the board, read books, use computers without having to enlarge the words, (which only allows her to see one word or partial words at a time, cannot read sentences together) and be able to study with confidence.

It was such a happy experience to be able to see Britny try out the glasses at the eSight office in Orlando.  Seeing her parents clearly for the first time was a memorable experience.

Please help us with our goal to buy these glasses for Britny.

She is such a deserving young lady that will use these glasses to help not only herself but others
