Joseph is an 11 year old boy that has just finished primary school, a sentence I never thought I'd get to say.

At 3 months old, Joseph developed pneumonia which caused permanent scarring to his lungs, leaving him bronchiectasis and bronchial obliterans. At the beginning of 2023, his lung function was at 18% and his future was very bleak.

After consultations at GOSH, Joseph was placed on the transplant list in February 2023. On the 8th of may, the day after his birthday we got 'the call'.

Thanks to the family of Joseph's donor, he's now 3 years post double lung transplant and thriving!

Joseph is always on the go, out on his bike or playing football, his favourite.

Joseph took part in the games in 2024 in Nottingham, even winning medals!

This year, he's enthusiastic and really looking forward to spending time with the GOSH family, the atmosphere at these events is second to none!

We would like to raise funds to put towards the cost of taking part, as well as sponsoring Joseph for the competitions he is taking part in, he's aiming for gold!
