Finding an Orthodox Christian church in the British Isles can sometimes be difficult; Especially for converts, newcomers, students, travellers, or families moving to a new area. "British Isles Orthodox Church Finder" was created to help make that journey easier by providing a user-friendly, free, pan-Orthodox directory of all parishes in the British Isles.

This website exists to bring together parish information in one clear and accessible place, helping people find local churches, attend services, and connect with Orthodox communities.

What the Website Provides...

The main feature of the site is our map directory for the British Isles. We have thoroughly scoured the internet marked each church building to the spot, tying all of their relevant links to each marker: britishislesocf.com/map

Additionally, we have an "Events" page to advertise regional events along with a "Books" page full of recommended texts for English speakers:

Orthodox churches are often spread across wide areas, and parish information online can be difficult to find or out of date. For someone seeking a parish - especially someone new to Orthodoxy - a reliable and welcoming directory can make a real difference.

This project is intended as a service to the Church / an offering to God. Our site is intended for all Orthodox believers to engage with; Help us to help everyone. May we all collaborate and become ever unified along our Christian struggle in these lands.

What Your Support Helps With...

Running and maintaining the website has ongoing costs. Donations go directly toward:

-Website subscription, hosting and domain fees.

-Mapping software subscription and google API fees.

We do not personally take any money for the time put into developing the directory or website. All proceeds have, and will continue to be invested into the initiative.

In the future we may use funds to organise regional events i.e: spending money on food for a soup kitchen, hiring a room for a social event or helping cover specific transport for key parties such as guest speakers etc, and other expenditures deemed to be productive. However, we do not anticipate money to be spent here until our map is optimised and well updated.

To re-iterate, we have NO profit motivation!
