Britain Morin Medical Needs

On May 4th, 2020, Britain was in a horrible car accident, and received multiple life threatening injuries. The car Britain was in rolled 5 to 6 times, and he was partially ejected. When he was found he was barely breathing and was unresponsive. He was put on a ventilator, and it looked like he was not going to make it. He was not breathing on his own, had no reflexes, no pupil dilation, and according to doctors suffered from lack of oxygen. Miraculously, he woke up on the morning of May 5th, and was responding appropriately!!  He was then able to get off of the ventilator.  A day later, he went into surgery for his legs, but they were unable to do anything due to swelling, so external fixation devices were applied to both legs. These were put on to give his legs some stability, because there is not much holding them there. Britain has multiple injuries and a very long road ahead of him. His injuries include, Bi lateral Traumatic Knee Dislocation, Tibial Plateau Fractures, multiple broken bones in both legs, 10 rib fractures,  and an abrasion on his lung, concussion, a coracoid process fracture, pelvic fracture, nerve damage to left arm ( his arm is unusable, cannot lift or move it), and many abrasions, cuts and bruises. He will need surgery on both legs to repair bones, ligaments, and tendons, so he hopefully will be able to regain use of them.  At this time we do not know how many surgeries he will need. He is being moved to a Long Term Care Facility until swelling goes down in his legs, then moved to get surgery. Unfortunately, it appears his insurance will not cover all his medical bills, plus he will be out of work for an unknown period of time.  Right now he can use all the help he can get, because money concerns should be the last thing he has to think about.  Right now as his mother, I just want him to worry about getting better!! Due to Coronavirus, Britain has to go through all of this alone, because many places allow no visitors!!  His family and his young son would love to get him back home!!!
