BRINS EYE SURGERY

THIS IS BRIN , OUR GORGEOUS 9 YEAR OLD BOXER BOY  . We've had him from a 3 month old puppy to now when he is 9 years and 10 months and he has been the most amazing, loyal, loving pet/family member and friend we could have ever hoped for!  He has  been battling eye ulcers in his right eye for over 8 weeks now (several vets visits which have needed medication, 2 lots of debriding and another 2 lots of diamond tipped debriding  , scraping away any dead tissue around the ulcer to encourage it to heal which unfortunately haven't worked)! Unfortunately on Thursday 2nd August his eye got much worse and he was referred as an emergency case to Davies veterinary specialist for investigation. Once there it was diagnosed that on top of his ulcers he now had a (horrific) condition called a corneal melt (literally his cornea was melting away due to an infection ). They  tried to stabilize his eye using plasma therapy and antibiotics every hour but  it got worse overnight and he needed a 360 degree skin graft surgery to cover his eye to try and give it a chance to heal . He has a follow up appointment in 4 weeks time to hopefully remove the graft but we have already maxed out his insurance policy ( he is insured for £4000 but the op and treatment at Davies alone cost £3300 and the rest was taken up by his previous ulcer treatments)  All money raised will go straight towards his medical bills and followup appointments
