It has been a new journey of my life since I left my ex-husband three years ago. I have been through a lot of challenges with my five children as a single mother. But I survived them because my children were always beside of me and I always felt alive as a human being. We laughed, smiled, wondered, goof around, argue, walk, run, jump, dance, sing, eat, sleep, cry and see beautiful things in the world together.
I was proud of myself that I built a HOME for my children to grow and to come back. Now they lost their home.
Here is the summary about our case. Tanaka is my ex-husband and the children’s father.
“Torata Tanaka, 40, is believed to have fled the United States with four of the five children, ages 3, 6, 8 and 10, of Tanaka and his ex-wife.
On August 25, 2014, the children’s mother contacted the Eugene Police Department because Tanaka had not returned the four children after a scheduled visitation pursuant to a court order. She told police that she became increasingly concerned when she did not hear from Tanaka or receive any response to text messages sent in an effort to ensure the safety of her children.
Over the next 24 hours, local and federal law enforcement authorities made efforts to determine the possible whereabouts of Tanaka and the children. After officers learned that Tanaka had moved out of his residence, the Eugene Police Department initiated a missing persons report for each child. During the course of the investigation, authorities learned that Tanaka had crossed into Canada with the four children and boarded a flight to Japan.
The Lane County District Attorney’s Office has filed charges of Custodial Interference in the First Degree for the taking of each of the children, and a warrant has issued for Tanaka’s arrest.“

Fortunately, my oldest daughter, who decided to stay away from her father a year ago, is with me. But she is extremely concerned about her younger brothers and sisters.
We need your help to pay for legal cost (attorneys' fee, documentation fees, translation fees, etc.), any other cost incurred for on-going search and return of children, possible transportation cost especially when the children can come back to the United States.
This is a poem my older son wrote at school last year.

Please help us to bring our children back home.
