Help to Buy Computers for Paje School in Zanzibar
Dear community
Education is said to be the great equalizer, and now more than ever, Paje School students deserve a system that will ensure they are front and center and have the right resources in place to succeed.
Please join me in raising funds for Paje School in Zanzibar, Tanzania in offering them a better access to the future of education, hybrid learning. With your help, I want to offer them brand-new laptops.
Paje school is located in Paje, a village on the Tanzanian island of Unguja, part of Zanzibar. It is located on the southeast coast of the island.
900 students are registered in Paje School.
30 teachers
The school has a computer room with 15 computers, which were donated in 1995. These 15 PCs are old and do not work properly. Therefore, there is an urgent need to upgrade the PCs for the school.
Information technology plays a critical role in education these days. The students can benefit immensely from PCs in the school to enrich their knowledge. In particular, it helps the children to:
Basics of computing;
Coding;
Designing;
Content writing;
Digital drawing and so on.
I would love to take the burden of computers off their shoulders and would love help from friends and the community. A donation of any amount would be wonderful. We can buy twenty new laptops with sufficient storage and speed for around $230 each and bring the Wi-Fi to the school.
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed education forever. Education has changed dramatically, with the distinctive rise of e-learning, whereby teaching is undertaken remotely and on digital platforms. According to UNESCO, 1 in 3 countries are not taking action to help students catch up on their learning post-COVID-19 school closures.
My name is Khadydja, I’m an educator and a hybrid education advocate. As many educators around the world, we had to adapt to new ways of delivering knowledge to students.
My goal is to reach $5000 for the purpose of upgrading the PCs, bring WI-FI and buying laptops for the school.
Any donation count! Enable the children of Paje village to access a better education! Asante Sana :)
