Imazighen are the Indigenous people of North Africa, and their language is called Tamazight. After decades of marginalization, Tamazight is witnessing a phenomenal revival that has helped rehabilitate both the language and its culture. To help promote academic research that focuses on Tamazight, we hope that you will donate to this campaign, aims to create a small endowment for two annual prizes to encourage both creative and scholarly works that use sources in Tamazight. By establishing the two awards below, we will ensure more and more scholars will take advantage of the current resurgence of Tamazight:
1. The Award for the Best Article in Amazigh Studies published in English.
2. The Award for the Best Published Translation from Tamazight into English.
Both prizes will be administered and awarded through Tamazgha Studies Journal.
