In 2025, my life changed in a way I never imagined.

My wife was in labor, and I was on my way to the hospital to be there for the birth of our son, Kayden. Like any husband and father would, I was doing everything I could to get there safely and as quickly as possible.

While driving on the highway, another driver decided to use the breakdown lane to pass traffic. In the process, they sideswiped my vehicle on the driver’s side. Thankfully, everyone was able to pull over safely.

When the state trooper arrived, I explained exactly what had happened and why I was rushing to the hospital. After speaking with both of us, the trooper ultimately determined that we just collided together simultaneously, but unfortunately I did not have insurance on the vehicle therefore I was declared at fault. . I was devastated.

 I hadn’t caused the accident, so I fought the decision in court. Unfortunately, without a dash camera or any video evidence, I couldn’t prove what really happened. Despite telling the truth, I lost my case.

As a result, I lost my driver’s license.

Since then, life has been incredibly difficult. I work hard every day to provide for my family, but without a license I’ve had to rely on Uber seven days a week just to get to work and pick up overtime shifts. The cost of transportation has made it almost impossible to save money.

To make matters worse, our only family vehicle—my wife’s car—was also damaged. The driver’s side rear door was damaged and is now very difficult to open. Because of that damage and our current financial situation, we haven’t been able to repair it. Combined with me losing my license, our family has been left without reliable transportation. Something as simple as taking our children to appointments, running errands, or getting where we need to go has become a daily challenge.

My wife is a stay-at-home mom caring for our three boys, including our youngest son, Kayden. Every month we’re trying to cover nearly $3,000 in rent, along with utilities, groceries, diapers, wipes, and all of the everyday expenses that come with raising a family of five. We do everything we can to make ends meet, but it’s been an uphill battle.

To get my license and registration reinstated, I need approximately $9,400. I’ve been working as much overtime as possible and saving every dollar I can, but after paying for Uber rides to work and covering our family’s basic needs, reaching that amount has felt nearly impossible.

I’m not looking for sympathy. I’m simply asking for a chance to get my life back on track and continue providing for my family. Getting my license reinstated would allow me to stop spending so much on transportation, work more efficiently, and give my wife and our children the stability they deserve.
