My name is Darnell Jackson and what I'm trying to do is :Bring Soul Food back to the streets In honor of my grandmother Growing up in the kitchen was the heart of everything in my family.It wasn't just about food it was about love patient and tradition.My grandma taught me that a good meal could bring people together heal a bad day and remind u we're u come from. Before she passed she left me more than memories she left me her recipes. Real soul food,the kind that takes time care and heart. The kind you don't find just anywhere anymore. Today when I look around I see food truck everywhere but most of them serve the same thing tacos burgers and fast food.there nothing wrong with that but I know there something missing there a lack of home cooked meals that remind people of family dinner and Sunday gatherings and the comfort of plate made with love that's why I want to start a soul food truck. My goal is to bring something different to the tri-state area a food truck that will serve home cooked meats seasoned vegetables and classic sides that taste like home this isn't about starting a business it's about keeping my grandma legacy alive its about giving people an opinion beyond fast unhealthy foods its about creating something meaningful for the community something that brings people together.
