My name is Chef Shownuff, and cooking has always been more than a job to me — it’s how I show love, respect culture, and serve my community.

I didn’t learn food from shortcuts or trends. I learned it from patience, repetition, and understanding where food comes from and why it matters. Soul food, to me, isn’t about grease or gimmicks — it’s about care, intention, and feeding people something that feels like home.

Over the years, I’ve put in the work. I’ve honed my craft, cooked for people from all walks of life, and recently completed my own cookbook — something I’m incredibly proud of. Finishing that book proved something important to me: I follow through. When I commit to something, I see it all the way through.

Now I’m ready for the next step — launching a food truck built on real food, real roots, and real community.

This food truck isn’t just about selling plates. It’s about creating a mobile kitchen that can show up where it’s needed — neighborhoods, events, schools, pop-ups, and community gatherings. I want to serve food that’s seasoned properly, cooked with patience, and made with respect for the people eating it.

Starting a food truck takes more than talent. It takes resources — a reliable truck, equipment, permits, inspections, and the basics needed to operate safely and professionally. That’s why I’m asking for help.
