Bringing Ruslana's parents from Kyiv, Ukraine

Dear Family and Friends. I have a beautiful Ukrainian friend Ruslana Berlinsky who is desperate to bring her family to the U.S. I met Ruslana a few years back while both of our daughters were attending a special needs preschool program in Pacific Grove, Ca. From the first time I met Ruslana, she showed me kindness, always has a beautiful smile and is always willing to help in any way despite her challenges with her Autistic daughter.

Ruslana’s elder parents: Father, Vitaly Berlinsky, Mother, Lubov Berlinsky, her brother with epilepsy, Seryozha Berlinsky, who is cared for by her parents, are in Kyiv, Ukraine. The Berlinsky family has tried to evacuate twice to Poland but have not been able to due to the dangers of shelling. Her family is running out of drinking water, and the supermarkets run scarce. Only Fruit and bread are available between the early hours of 8 am-10 am. The situation is critical, but Ruslana trusts they can make it out with the help of volunteers, humanitarian aid and faith.

Ruslana’s mission is to bring her parents from Kyiv to her apartment in Pacific Grove, CA. She has started an emergency visa application through the Embassy in Poland and is waiting to secure an appointment for her family. Once she confirms the position, her family will make the long journey to the West of Ukraine into Lviv then to Poland. My mentor Valerie Corral has a friend with an apartment in Poland that will put them up temporarily while they obtain emergency visas.

Ruslana is a fantastic artist with 20+ years of experience. She creates seashell art, painting, sculptures and jewelry. Any contributions will automatically enter you to win one of her incredible works of art.

Every contribution, none all too small, will help with her family’s travel expenses, visas, food, lodging, clothes, seizure medication, and other amenities. Remember that they leave their home with only a few things that they can carry.
