Bringing Roberto Home
Dr. Roberto 'Cintli' Rodriguez crossed over on July 31, 2023, in Teotihuacán, Mexico. Many beautiful tributes have been made and here are a couple of articles about his unique and impactful life.

As his compadres wrote, "He now knows all the answers he was seeking since he was a young boy. There is so much to be said about Cintli. He was more than a treasure and was always so generous to share his love and wisdom with so many. He was a warrior for justice with a lifelong curiosity to connect with our ancestral reality. He was committed to making the world a better place and he shared his life experience and knowledge bravely to ignite the fire in others to never stop fighting for what we all know we deserve."
My name is Michelle Téllez, a colleague and long-time friend of Roberto. We are fundraising on behalf of Roberto's siblings to bring his remains home and for costs related to his burial and return of possessions from México. Any funds made beyond the goal will be used to establish a scholarship in his name in the Department of Mexican American Studies at the University of Arizona, where he was a professor from 2007 until his retirement in 2021.
Thank-you for your consideration, for sharing this fundraiser, and for any contributions you can make. In community <3
