Aloha,

Those who know me, know I was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawai'i my whole life. A lot of you who will read this knew my family very well, especially my mother and father, Lincoln and Theresa (Tessie) Pascual.

I moved to Oregon back in 2016 and created a whole life and family there over the past 10 years. It started out rough, but unfolded into a beautiful and enriching life, all thanks to my husband's hard and endless work to provide and strive to be the best father to his children. We are blessed with 4 beautiful babies. Many times, my mother and father would come to visit us in Oregon, and many times we enjoyed their presence ❤️

On December 20, 2025, I gave birth to our last son, Jaiveon. Shortly after that, while 2 weeks postpartum, I had to have emergency surgery to remove my gallbladder. My sister, Tianna, was sent by my parents to take care of me while I was healing postpartum and post-surgery up in Oregon. While she was up there helping me recover, our beautiful mother, who suffered from stage 4 (ended with stage 5) Kidney Disease and diabetes, became ill in the hospital. She was in and out for a couple of days. My sister and I, along with my 4 children, made plans to fly back to be with her and my father per his request... Heartbreakingly, the night before we planned to fly, she took her last breaths at 18:10 on January 22, 2026.

Fast forward to us arriving on the Big Island, I had spoken to my husband and father about making the life-altering decision to move back to Hawai'i so that ultimately my father could enjoy having his grandchildren around and watch them grow up. It was an easy yet bittersweet decision to make... leaving our established life behind in a split second. In my heart, it will always be the right decision.
