On April 11th, 2026, I took a leap of faith and brought the flavors of my Puerto Rican heritage to the Global Soul Festival at LalaLand in Da Nang, Vietnam. I wasn’t sure how the community would react to the scent of slow-roasted pernil and sofrito in the heart of Vietnam, but the response was overwhelming—we completely sold out in just three hours. This experience showed me that there is a massive, hungry void for authentic Caribbean cuisine in this country, and I am determined to fill it.
What We’ve Accomplished So Far:
• Market Validation: Proven demand with a successful day at our very first pop-up.
• Brand Authority: Established a growing community of followers who are already asking, "When is the next drop?"
• Resourcefulness: I managed this entire launch using a small 35L home oven and an induction plate—proving that the flavor is in the hands, not just the hardware.
• Cultural Ambassadorship: As a homeschooling mother and professional visual storyteller, I am documenting the journey of bringing "Boricua" soul to Southeast Asia.
