Bringing Performing Arts to Young People in the Northwest
Donation protected
iPAN Performing Arts North is bringing their production of Stravinsky’s ‘The Soldier’s Tale’ into schools across the North West - as soon as we can.
Our tour of 10 secondary schools will share the experience of professional theatre with 3000 young people; creating an exciting and inspiring first experience for many, in areas where opportunity is limited. In addition to bringing our fully staged production, which includes 8 actors and dancers and 8 musicians, into each school, we’ll be running a workshop, working closely with the students to develop their skills and enable them to form a creative response to the work.
We need match funding of £7500 to bring our project to the young people of our local north west communities; bringing not only inspiration and aspirational possibility, but also the magic and pleasure of theatre - up close and personal.
A donation of £5 makes this opportunity available to 2 students - while £75 enables a whole class of 30 young people to participate. And, of course, £750 would pay for a whole school experience.
Please help us to deliver the project and experience to as many young people as possible.
iPAN is a new performance company, based in Blackburn, supporting and enabling young, local performers: actors, dancers and musicians, in the creation of exciting and adventurous theatre, in and with the community. It is our aim to break down barriers that prevent individuals from all parts of our community from experiencing great performance, as audience, participant or performer; create opportunities for less represented members of our community to engage with performance at all levels.
The Soldier’s Tale tour will be visiting schools in Blackburn & Bury, Rochdale & Wigan, and across east Lancashire.
Follow our journey, and subscribe to our social media sites to see the project develop over the coming months.
