Bringing peace & prayers to the Higgs family

On Sunday, March 26th, 2023, Lloyd Higgs Sr. unexpectedly left this earth way too soon! There are a lot of unknowns along with Lloyd's passing (autopsy pending). We are devastated to lose the anchor to the Higgs family.

I met the Higgs family when I was 17 years old. Ashley and Lloyd Jr. had been dating & I was living with Ashley and her mom. When the Higgs family found out that all of my family lived out of state they welcomed me into their home and their family. After my first Thanksgiving, I received a forever invite into their home. They extended that invite to my family as it grew. This is a testament to Lloyd's generosity. I wanted to put this GoFund me together for them because I know Ashley and Lloyd have a lot of friends who will want to help.

Lloyd Higgs Sr. was such a humble and hard-working man. He would give you the shirt off his back and the food off his plate. The only time I can recall him ever raising his voice was to tell me I better be getting seconds on Thanksgiving day. Family came first to Lloyd. He always carried a huge smile along with his rumbling chuckle. He was an intimidating guy on the surface but within seconds of meeting him, you could see he was just a gentle giant. He was very proud to become a grandfather to Addison Higgs just 4.5 months ago. I've personally known Lloyd for over 17 years and I have never seen him light up the way he did when he talked about his beautiful granddaughter.

Lloyd leaves behind his loving wife Sara, children, daughter in law, grandchildren, brothers and sisters and many friends. Sara and Lloyd were a couple I have always looked up to, the amount of love and respect they had for each other was somthing you do not see very often. They were truly best friends. Lloyd was the sole provider to his household due to a motorcycle accident that happened a few years ago, leaving Sara unable to work. Sara has now found out she will need to find new insurance due to her husband's unexpected passing. She has two major surgeries expected in the next few months and will need all the help she can get to get back in her feet.
