Hey there, I hate to be writing this, but my husband and I are in need of help.
A little backstory: Our son has been living with my husband's parents since October. A family member, who I won't mention, that I was supposed to trust and love, decided drugs were more important than providing heat for his family and the people that lived with him. My husband and I had to use space heaters for our and our son's room, which only does so much. Because of this, we had to move him to a safer and warmer place.
Towards the end of November, we bought a used camper, which we were told only had a few minor soft spots but was otherwise livable. We were so excited as we could finally have our son back with us once we winterized the camper. Come to find out, when we pulled the pop-out from inside the camper, it was completely rotted. The walls, ceiling, and floor were all rotted so badly that even with insulation, plastic, and heavy quilted blankets, the cold air still comes in. My husband and I currently close the door that separates the kitchen and pop-out from our bathroom and bedroom so we can stay warm, as the kitchen and pop-out go anywhere from 30-60 degrees, even with a space heater. Our furnace in the camper is also broken, which doesn't help.
Now we are desperately trying to move. We got an offer from a different family member of my husband's who's willing to help us get a newer camper, but we will need help with tolls, gas, a down payment to park our camper on a lot of land, and whatever else we need to help settle us into our new place. We will be moving back to Georgia. We are doing everything we can so we can be a family again and have our son back with us, as we miss him so dearly. Anything helps. Thank you so much!
