Bringing Roselyne “Rose” Oyaro Home ️
It’s with the heaviest hearts that we share the sudden and heartbreaking passing of our beloved Roselyne Oyaro, lovingly known by her friends and family as Rose.
While traveling back to California from visiting her family in Kenya, she had a connecting KLM flight from Amsterdam to Los Angeles, Rose became unresponsive during the flight. The plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Yellowknife an airport in Canada’s Northwest Territories, where medical teams did everything they could to save her. Sadly, Rose passed away, despite all efforts to save her.
An investigation revealed that Rose suffered a pulmonary embolism, and possibly was triggered when using a massage chair at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, before boarding her connecting flight.
Her remains are currently at a funeral home in Edmonton, Canada, and the estimated cost to bring her home to Nairobi, Kenya is approximately $23,000 USD. This includes international transportation, embassy clearances, and all required documentation between the U.S., Canada, and Kenya.
Rose was more than loved — she was cherished. A dedicated nurse, she cared deeply for others and devoted her life to healing and helping those in need. She had a heart of gold, a radiant smile, infectious laugh and an unwavering faith as a child of God. She loved to travel, explore the world, and spend quality time with her family and friends, creating beautiful memories that will forever live in our hearts.
Her family and loved ones are devastated by this unimaginable loss. Our only wish now is to bring Rose home so she can be laid to rest with the love, dignity, and honor she deserves.
