Bringing our ancestors home
This event is part of a journey home for those of Afrikan descent. A housing estate has been created to encourage those descendants to return home but in doing so recognise that their ancestors were ripped away from their home. This event is a two prong approach and on the day we will be inviting our ancestors to return home as well as celebrating those that will at some stage make that transition home. The funds will be used to pay for the filming on the day, printing flyers and posters, transportation, marque hire and sound equipment hire. The filming will be used to educate young people in Gambia so that they understand how important it is to remember their stolen ancestors.
The event will be held on the 24th November in The Gambia in the village of Sanyang from 12noon to 7pm. The Hon Halifa Sallah will be giving an address as well as Dr Mumbi Seraki from the Africa show Kenya who is making a special trip to join us on the day to celebrate with us. Myself and Angela Rose from AGA and their tour group will also be joining us all the way from the UK
Any amount will be much appreciated and sent as soon as possible as I have been funding from my own pocket so far. This will benefit the entire Afrikan diasporian community globally as we all have an interest in such an event.
Thanking you in advance for your help.
