Bringing My Music and Faith to the World

So my name is Cory, I'm 28 years old and my dreams have always been to give my created music a true purpose. I've been for years using fl studio to try to get what I can hear so clearly in my head, but even after 12 years I still haven't been able to have the time to truly polish my music and quickly get things complete and out to the world. I play several instruments, and also a singer I discovered while running karaoke events at my dad's craft beer pub that I helped run for 7 years. Life has been all over the place with abrupt moves, and changes where I had to quickly relocate, and it truly has been hard getting back on my feet leaving South Florida and moving to Daytona, then moving to Lakeland. I have already got my feet in and applied at many places, but even with a good resume, going in person and being well versed, It still seems to be hard to find financial consistency.

Thankfully, in the last few years music has really been starting to move for me, and the inspiration is just bringing more and more ideas that come in all genres. I launched my first song that I nearly wrote and performed entirely

(minus actually playing the lead and bass guitars, and mastering the song) on all platforms! It is called "Gotta Go" by Cory Oakes, with Joe who blessed me with studio time, and Tony my amazing guitar player we were able to get what I heard entirely in my head out to the world.

I recently discovered a program that can help me get my music (that I generally can fully hear in my head) quickly organized and put together in a short period of time, which for me and the many ideas and genres that I hear throughout my head would truly be the most useful tool imaginable.

I now have went back to a lot of my unfinished track, and finally finishing them and rapid rates. So many new ideas have come to me including using poems that a second mother to me has written her entire life. I have already made several projects that are now complete which gives her past work a purpose.

My main goal is to get my music out to the world, and in order to do that I need to make a Distrokid account which is able to get my music out to all platforms, there are different paid options which recently look like they have changed, but 90$ seems to be the plan that allows me to be under 5 different artists so I can release music under different genres. I saw another plan last week that I now don't see available that allowed 10 different artists (which would be more adequate for my goal) but I may just eventually do two separate plans.

My other goal which I feel would give me a great spiritual purpose, is to release worship music and gospel music that I have written and had friends help write. I have fully put together several songs that are practically ready to be released, but I don't want to make any money from these. I have a program I'm looking to get that is 12$ a month that helps generate lyric videos for the music I create, which I too feel is needed for my mission. I want to recreate Psalms in the bible English, and in Hebrew to be heard from how David played it on the lyre. I already have Psalm 1 in Hebrew, and Psalm 1-10 ready to be uploaded, likely going to put them on Youtube to be heard for free around the world!

I really appreciate all who has taken the time to read this, I know a lot of people are going through a lot right and He is sharpening each and every one of us for our purpose. I truly think I found mine after years of feeling like I was going to fail. My life has changed giving my life to God (Yahuah), and trusting that He will show the way if I let Him. I pray He does the same for each and every one of you, and I hope that part of my music can have some assistance in either guidance, or peace.

All funds will be used to fully acquire the tools and programs needs to make this happen!
