Help Bring Michael “Mike” Grimes Home

It is with broken hearts that we share the sudden loss of Michael “Mike” Grimes.

Michael unexpectedly passed away in an airplane accident in Alaska Thursday, June 18, leaving behind his devoted wife, Amber of nearly 30 years & his beloved daughters, Riley and Ryann, and countless family members and friends who loved him deeply.

June 21st being Father’s Day and June 22nd would have marked Michael and his Amber’s 30th wedding anniversary, making this loss even more heartbreaking for their family.

As they navigate unimaginable grief, they are also facing the overwhelming financial burden of bringing Mike home from Alaska to the Bay Area in California.

The costs associated with transportation, cremation, travel arrangements, and memorial expenses have become significant during an already devastating time.

We are asking for help to ease some of these immediate burdens so the family can focus on grieving and supporting one another.

• Cremation and transportation expenses to bring Mike home from Alaska to California

• memorial-related costs

• Travel expenses for family members

• Meals, groceries, and daily necessities during this difficult time

• Gift cards, Instacart, DoorDash, and other practical support for the family as they navigate the weeks ahead

Michael was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. His loss leaves an enormous hole in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
