At 5WAVES, we're on a mission to create waves of change in how sibling sexual trauma and abuse are understood and addressed. Now, we need your help to make an even bigger impact!
We have been offered an incredible opportunity to present at the upcoming NOTA (National Organisation for the Treatment of Abuse) conference in the UK. This conference brings together professionals, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to tackle the most pressing issues in the field of abuse prevention and intervention.
Attending this conference offers us a unique opportunity to share our firsthand insights on sibling sexual trauma (SST) and, most importantly, to bring YOUR hopes, fears, concerns, and questions to the global community. We'll be your representatives, advocating to ensure that the silenced and often-overlooked issue of sibling sexual trauma receives the attention and understanding it deserves. We will let the professionals know about the resources you wish were available. We will tell the researchers about the information you wish you had to learn from. And we will tell all those who will listen, that it is time the world starts paying attention to SST, because only then will we be able to help prevent, confront and heal from this trauma.
The work of 5WAVES is funded personally by the 5 cofounders and with donations through our website. We are grateful for those of you who have supported our collective efforts.
