On April 30, our family experienced an unimaginable loss when Kyir Savannah Bradwell, only 28 years old, in California. Kyir was more than just a name to us – she was a loving daughter, granddaughter, cousin, sister and friend, with a bright spirit and a beautiful heart that touched everyone who knew her. Our grandmother’s greatest wish is to bring Kyir home to Rochester, New York, so she can be laid to rest near her family.

Because Kyir passed away in another state, we are now facing the high cost of transporting her remains from California to Rochester, on top of the funeral and burial expenses. This process requires working with a funeral home in California and a funeral home in Rochester, as well as paying for her body to be flown across the country, which can easily cost several thousand dollars by itself.

We are creating this GoFundMe to ask for help during the hardest moment of our lives. Your support will go directly toward transporting Kyir’s body from California to Rochester, NY, covering fees for the funeral homes in both states, and helping with funeral, burial, and related costs so our family can give her a proper homegoing.
