Karl Kirk Wester Memorial will take place on Thursday, March 5th, 2026 at 1pm location at 131 West Hastings St. on the 10th floor administrative offices in Vancouver, BC

I have created this fundraiser on behalf of Kirk’s sister Amber Wester and myself.

Karl "Kirk" Wester, passed away in his home in Vancouver, BC, up in Canada on December 21, 2025, just a few days before Christmas. I never wanted to do one of these, but I have no other choice. I need help bringing his remains and belongings back home to me in CA. This was a shock to my family, and I really need help getting him home.

It will cost about $5,000 to get him and his belongings shipped from Vancouver to California. Harriet will be travelling to Vancouver to take care and oversee Kirk's final wishes and his affairs. He wanted to come home at least one more time but wasn't well enough to make it. He had equal love for his roots in Orange County, CA, and Canada since he spent his childhood between both. He loved the Wedge and Sheep Hills bike jumps. He helped my dad help his friend with the Pride of Dana Point, which used to be Newport. He didn't make it back, but during our last phone call, I was standing in front of that shop, and that's something special I will always remember.

In the near future part of Kirk's remains will be heading to Finland to be with his mother and maternal grandparents.
