As someone who cares deeply for the De Leon family, I wanted to help support them during this incredibly heartbreaking and unexpected time. I created this GoFundMe in hopes that our community can come together to help bring Julio De Leon home to his loved ones and help ease some of the financial burden his family is facing during this difficult time.

A message from the De Leon family:

Our family is heartbroken as we share the sudden passing of our beloved father, Julio De Leon, while he was overseas in Costa Rica.

Julio was an extraordinary man whose love for his family knew no limits. He was a wonderful grandfather who always went out of his way to save the day and make every moment beautiful for his grandchildren, all of whom loved him deeply. Whether it was showing up when he was needed most, offering words of encouragement, or creating special memories, he made sure his grandchildren always felt loved, protected, and cared for.

He was also a supportive and loving father who always managed to be there for his children and family, no matter the circumstances. His strength, guidance, and unconditional love were constants in our lives.

Beyond his family, Julio was an incredible member of his community. He was the kind of person who never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His generosity, kindness, and selflessness touched so many lives.

Our hearts are shattered by this unimaginable loss. We take comfort in hoping that from heaven, he will continue to watch over us, guide us, and protect us forever.

Because his passing happened so suddenly while he was overseas, our family is now facing the unexpected and overwhelming expense of bringing him back home to the United States from Costa Rica, along with funeral and memorial costs.
