On Wednesday, my beloved brother JC lost his life in a horrific accident caused by someone texting and driving. The suddenness of his passing has left our family in shock, but none more so than our 81-year-old mother, who is waiting for her son in Costa Rica. JC is being cremated, and as his sister, it is my heartfelt wish to bring his ashes to our mother so she can say her final goodbyes and give him a proper burial surrounded by family and loved ones.

The journey ahead is not an easy one. I will need to travel to Florida to pick up JC’s ashes and then continue on to Costa Rica. The funds raised will help cover the travel expenses and allow us to hold a small, meaningful burial ceremony once we arrive. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us honor JC’s memory and bring comfort to our grieving mother during this incredibly difficult time.
