Let me introduce myself. I’m Jennifer Taggart: scientist, gardener, entrepreneur, proud Clevelander, and, most importantly, ice cream maker. Almost one year ago, Sweet Moses Soda Fountain and Treat Shop closed its doors, leaving a void in the neighborhood that I have lived in and loved for over fifteen years. In my time behind the counter and in the kitchen making ice cream for Sweet Moses, I saw firsthand the joy that a friendly neighborhood ice cream shop brings to customers and the disappointment they felt in losing such an institution. So, I am on a mission to bring ice cream back to Gordon Square with Lake Erie Scoops, a grab-and-go ice cream shop serving premium, handcrafted, traditional ice cream along with non-dairy options and homemade toppings. The money raised by this campaign will go toward purchasing equipment, launching the shop, and bringing quality treats back to our neighborhood. Let’s make Gordon Square sweeter together!
