This project is built on a clear vision and a dedicated, hands-on team committed to making something honest and impactful. Supporting it means backing emerging creatives. It’s an opportunity to be part of a film that prioritizes authenticity!
Mission Statement
The mission of this project is to create a short film that feels honest, grounded, and emotionally engaging. It aims to tell a focused story with clarity and intention. That engages fantasy into everyday life!
The Story
HeirLOOM is a mystical story of a cursed necklace pits two women face-to-face with their past. A story blended by HORROR, MYSTERY & EERIENESS. We follow the path of SERENA & TARA as they curiously stumble upon something unexpected a late night in Brooklyn, New York. With great superstition, callings from an older soul captivates their choices. HeirLOOM is meant to be a proof of concept for an independent feature film (currently in development.)
Why We’re Making This Film
Heirloom is about what we inherit—not just objects, but memory, trauma, and identity.
Our team is drawn to horror as a way to explore emotional truths through atmosphere rather than exposition. This film leans into subtle dread instead of shock, allowing the audience to sit inside the discomfort.
We’re especially interested in:
The tension between past and present
The idea that history can feel alive
Horror that unfolds quietly, then lingers
This project is also an opportunity for us as filmmakers to create something intimate but visually striking—where performance, sound, and space carry as much weight as dialogue.
How We’ll Use the Funds
Every dollar raised will go directly into bringing Heirloom to life with intention and quality. Here’s how the budget will be allocated:

Cast & Crew (20%)
Supporting the talented people bringing this story to life.
Sound Design & Post-Production (20%)

Timeline
Pre-Production: Completed / Finalizing details
Production: [Insert Month/Date] (2–3 day shoot)
Post-Production: Immediately after filming (4–6 weeks)
Festival Run & Release.
Visual Tone & Atmosphere
The film lives in stillness, tension, and suggestion—drawing inspiration from slow-burn psychological horror. Dim natural light, intimate framing, and negative space will create a constant sense of unease.
What begins as quiet curiosity slowly turns into unease.
