Dearest Friends & Family,

I'm doing something that is very hard for me, which is to ask for financial support in helping me bring my vision to life. This ask is something I've sat on for a long time, mostly because asking for help has always been difficult for me. And especially in these times with these gas prices.. it feels crazy. But even though this is uncomfortable, I'm feeling really pulled to change my mindset and put myself out there. I have a strong desire to bring about spaces of collective healing and connection through my passion for multi-cultural Music and dance. Specifically as an analog (vinyl/LP) disc jockey.

I have been collecting LPs for years now and feel fortunate to have gained a collection I am proud of and excited to share. I am always surprised by how representative the records feel of the times we are in now, even though they may have been released 40-50 years ago. After getting a job at my favorite record shop last year, I've been shown so much about Music and feel ready to take next steps to share my love for analog with anyone I can from youth to elders.

I have had the opportunity to foster connections with lovely folks that would like to support me and offer me the space to bring this vision to life. I believe in collective power and want to help bring about special moments where we can be present in our bodies, feel free to be ourselves, and release what needs to be released to experience higher vibrations together.

I deeply desire to bring people together and feel joy and connection through this art form which is so dear to my heart. We all know the power of Music, community, and dancing as a form of healing. It feels like this is one way I will be able to contribute meaningfully moving forward.

This amount is what I've calculated to allow me to purchase the used gear I need: 2 turntables, a mixer, and an amp. I understand that these are difficult times and you may not be in a position where you can contribute financially! I am eternally grateful for any support you are able to provide to my dream even if it’s well wishes and words of encouragement :).
