I am raising funds to bring my short film, "Friend," to life. It is a drama about the unlikely friendship between a homeless person and a cashier in a small mountain town. The story aims to shed light on the humanity of homeless people, challenging stereotypes and encouraging viewers to see beyond the surface. With a dreary atmosphere and moments of tension, the film explores themes of hope and connection, offering a powerful message for our society today.

This project was inspired by my real-life experience as a cashier, where I witnessed a local homeless person being mistreated by customers. Living in Los Angeles, I see the struggles of homeless people every day, and it pains me to know that so many are viewed as inferior rather than as fellow human beings who need our help. There is a huge place in my heart for those who have struggled, and I want this film to inspire others to help and support the homeless community.

The funds raised will be used to secure filming locations, pay professional cast and crew, cover travel, insurance, permits, food, and acquire professional camera, lighting, and sound equipment. Additionally, the funds will help with film festival submission fees, ensuring the film reaches a wider audience. I have been trying to get this film made for over five years. I would wake up every day hoping that I could get the chance to make a difference through film. With your support, my dream of telling a heartwarming story that can inspire empathy and societal change could finally come true.
