Hi, my name is Cyril Punay, a graduate of Music Education with a Master’s degree in Choral Conducting. I am currently spending a month in the Philippines, and during this time, I’ve chosen to dedicate myself to a cause close to my heart: bringing free choral workshops to church, community, and school choirs across the country.
The Philippines is widely known as a nation of singers—rich in passion, talent, and love for music. Yet many choirs, especially in remote or underserved communities, have limited access to formal music education, choral training, or workshops. Travel costs and professional resources are often out of reach, leaving many eager singers without opportunities to grow.
Through this initiative, I hope to bring choral education directly to these communities, sharing the skills, knowledge, and encouragement I’ve gained through years of study and experience. Every workshop is offered completely free to the choirs I visit.
This GoFundMe is not for personal gain, but to help cover basic travel, lodging, and materials as I move from one community to another. Your support—whether through a donation or by sharing this page—will help make it possible for me to reach more choirs and invest in young musicians who otherwise might not have this opportunity.
If you believe in the power of music to build community, inspire faith, and change lives, I invite you to be part of this journey. Thank you for supporting choral music and the voices behind it.
