Hi, my name is Charlotte. A stray dog came up to me on the beach during my stay in Punta Cana. There were multiple litters of stray dogs near the hotel I was staying at with no food, shelter, or water. The dog that came up to me spent the whole day by my side. I called all shelters and rescues in Punta Cana, but they’re all at capacity. Due to immigration requirements, I cannot bring him back to the US until he has had his necessary vaccinations and check-ups. This process will take months (especially because he is so young). Due to this, I will have to board him at a pet hotel for 3-4 months until he is able to come home with me.
