Our dear friend and Marine, Eric Brand has been in the hospital since the last week of August 2020. He has been through failed lungs, failed liver, failed kidneys, failed pancreas and fought his way back with the power of prayer and compassionate support. Oh-and add in some COVID-19 in the middle of his ICU journey. The doctors once advised his family to begin preparations for the worst. By nothing short of a miracle, a couple million dollars of medical bills, four hospitals and a quantity of surgeries I think we all lost count of, he has pulled through! He’s still in the ICU in hospital number 4. But the next hardest part of his journey begins, preparation for real life outside of a hospital setting after nearly 4 months.

We are looking to support his transition to a new apartment that he will call home for his daughter and service dog. Our goal is to offset his housing expenses so that he may complete his long journey of therapy to walk again, regain basic movement and functions. Right now we have a short term goal of covering his moving costs, rent, utilities, some groceries and enough support to allow him to find his new normal.
