"To Live In Hearts what we leave behind is not to die."

Our hearts are heavy as we announce that Sally has lost the battle to Camcer. She put up a good fight until the end. Sally was a beautiful soul, a brilliant talent, and a beloved person in Uganda , Toronto and the rest of the world. Sally Solome Elizabeth Bwamimpeke, who passed away in Toronto, Canada on May 14th 2026.

To the world, Sally was a phenomenal actress whose talent was truly impeccable. She lit up every single room she stepped into with her radiant energy and warmth. Her unforgettable performances brought stories to life across major productions—most notably as Jasmine in the hit DStv series Prestige, her incredible work on the Ugandan remake of Second Chance as Ganyana, and her collaborations with Beyond Borders and many other productions and her artistic legacy will remain etched in the African creative industry forever.

But beyond her brilliant career in her short life that included Radio Host work both on Capital FM and Beat FM, Sally’s greatest and most cherished role was that of a loving, devoted mother of three.

Now, in the wake of this devastating loss, Sally’s final wish and the deepest desire of her grieving family is to bring her body back home to her motherland, Uganda, so she can be laid to rest with dignity among her ancestors and loved ones.

Repatriating a loved one across continents is an immense logistical and financial burden. As a community, we are coming together to support Sally's children and family during this incredibly dark hour and your contribution towards this noble cause will make this happen.

How Your Donations Will Help:
Every dollar raised through this campaign will go directly toward the costs associated with her final journey home, including:

Funeral director services and documentation in Toronto.

International repatriation costs and airfare to Uganda.

Supporting her children and family with funeral, burial, and memorial service arrangements in Uganda.

No amount is too small. If you cannot donate financially, we ask for your prayers for her children and family, and that you please share this page widely with your networks, the Ugandan diaspora, and the global arts community.

Thank you for your overwhelming kindness, generosity, and for helping us give this incredible mother and star the dignified send-off she truly deserves.

Rest in eternal peace, dearest Sally. You are loved, and you will be deeply missed.
