Hello, we are the Nash Family. We are raising funds to purchase a diabetic alert dog (DAD) for our son, Lane. Lane was diagnosed in July of 2024, and although the family has adapted to this new life, we are looking for a little more cushion of comfort to apply to Lane's safety. This dog will not only be able to sniff blood sugars to prevent highs and lows before technology can detect it, but will also provide loyal companionship for our boy. After doing extensive research, we have learned just how expensive these furry family members can be. Unfortunately, a large portion of diabetic supplies are not covered by health insurance, including all of Lane's daily needs (pump supplies, insulin, continuous glucose monitors, low snacks, healthy diet, etc.). This is a huge financial burden of a disease on families across the nation. That is why we are asking for help from you! Any little bit helps us get one step closer to welcoming a DAD into our home for our boy! All donations will go towards the purchase of our pup that will be specifically paired with our family and Lane, as well as all of the training, vet bills, and food.
